Whispering the Orders

So I was hyped all week about being the QIC for Saturday’s convergence for all the Foothills PAX. Stayed up late on Friday getting all the details written out on my weinke and was hoping to shake off some congestion I had built up by morning. When I got up Saturday morning to put the finished touches on my weinke I realized not only had I not kicked the congestion, but rather I had completely lost my voice, “AWW CRAP!!!”. Sipped on some warm coffee and started pounding some cough drops on my way to AO and thankfully had just enough voice to be able to communicate, or whisper, the exercises. Got there a few minutes early and warned some of the PAX that I may need some help then went down and set up the football field with some cones that snaked the field, 6 to be exact. Rounded up the PAX and started the Warm-O-Rama:

Side Straddle Hops IC (had one of PAX call it) x 20

Alternating Toe Touches IC (had one of PAX call it) x 15

Humpy’s IC (had our PAX Humpy call it) x 15

Peter Parkers IC (had one of PAX call it) x 15

Then got right into The Thang:

Moseyed down to one corner of the football field at the AO for a BLIMP progressive ladder. Start with 10 Burpees at that cone in corner of end zone, then mosey to next cone about 30 yards up field and do Lunges at that cone – 10 each leg,

then back to starting corner for 10 Burpees, then mosey to next cone about 30 yards up field and do Lunges at that cone – 10 each leg, then mosey across the football field to next cone and do Imperial Storm Troopers – 20 or 10 each leg

then back to starting corner for 10 Burpees, then mosey to next cone about 30 yards up field and do Lunges at that cone – 10 each leg, then mosey across the football field to next cone and do Imperial Storm Troopers – 20 or 10 each leg, then mosey up field about 30 yards and do Merkins – 20

then back to starting corner for 10 Burpees, then mosey to next cone about 30 yards up field and do Lunges at that cone – 10 each leg, then mosey across the football field to next cone and do Imperial Storm Troopers – 20 or 10 each leg, then mosey up field about 30 yards and do Merkins – 20, then mosey back across football field to next cone and do Plank Jacks – 30

then back to starting corner for 10 Burpees, then mosey to next cone about 30 yards up field and do Lunges at that cone – 10 each leg, then mosey across the football field to next cone and do Imperial Storm Troopers – 20 or 10 each leg, then mosey up field about 30 yards and do Merkins – 20, then mosey back across football field to next cone and do Plank Jacks – 30, then mosey to corner of far end zone for squats – 40 total

Next we moseyed down the road to the intersection where we stopped for some:

Monkey Humpers IC (had one of PAX call it) x 15

Split Squats IC (had one of PAX call it) x 10 each leg

Carolina Dry Dock IC (had one of PAX call it) x 10

We then moseyed down the street and over behind the church to the 3 pull up bars. Here we paired up then lined up in 3 lines behind the 3 bars, each pair would do as many pull-ups and chin ups as they could, then rotate out. All PAX not doing pull ups were doing one of the following (depending on when they bowed out to do their pull-ups):

LBC’s, American Hammer, Box Cutters, Dying Cockroach, Squats, Smirf Jacks, Star Jumps, Ski Jumps, Plank Jacks, Hi / Lo Plank

Once everyone had completed their pull-ups we moseyed to the parking lot and split up in 2 groups for some ring of fire ab work. Once we finished this up we did an Indian run in our 2 groups back to the corner down from the AO. Once again, we stopped at the corner and did some

Monkey Humpers IC (had one of PAX call it) x 15

Merkins IC (had one of PAX call it) x 15

Diamond Merkins IC (had one of PAX call it) x 10

Then we moseyed back to the AO and Hallelujah, Time Was Up!

We circled up for announcements: Ultra Palmetto Team was forming with Abraham, OBT and Dredd – Anyone interested should hard commit with Abraham

Starting 1/3 – Expresso is moving to downtown Hickory to a new AO – Howlitzer

We then had some prayer requests for the family’s impacted by fires up in TN and Utter Butter’s brother

We did the Count off and Name-O-Rama and got a name 1 new FNG – Welcome Camel Back!

WOD was short and just about taking time to be grateful and appreciate how fortunate we all are. Take the time and opportunity over the holiday season to do something to positively impact someone in our community. Closed it out with The Lord’s Prayer.
