It all started with any empty Modelo

  • When: 6/12/17
  • QIC: Sleeper
  • The PAX: Bing, Igloo, Peaches, Cousin Eddie, Powder, Publix, Fuse, Kapowski, Banjo, Retread, Paula Deen, Lug Nut, Herniator, Root, Thunder Dome, Suppository, Jordache, Flamer, Twig, Flem, Goodwill

YHC had a great time as VQ for the 21 PAX that took on the Concrete Beast Monday morning.  YHC would also like to thank the guy who left an empty Modelo bottle at the top of the parking deck.  It made for an ideal start line, which the PAX would have otherwise been without.  Just before warm-o-rama YHC was slightly thrown off by Jordache’s ultra conservative new look, but was able to quickly regroup.  Here’s how it went down.

Warm-O-Rama

·        15 SSH (IC)

·        15 Merkins (IC)

The Thang

Mosey up the stairwell to the top level of the parking deck where YHC had planted rather suspicious looking coupons, but decided to go for it anyway.

·        Starting at the before mentioned empty Modelo, Bear Crawl to each coupon for 5 one arm rows, and then to the designated finish point.

·         Sprint down one flight of stairs, across the deck, and back to the top.

·        Repeat for a total of three laps.

Staying at the upper deck, PAX teamed up in groups of three, with one coupon per team.

·        25 curls and 25 overhead presses with coupons.

·        Run down two flights of stairs then run the parking deck back to the top.

·        Each group sacrificed one team member to run down three flights on the first lap to create spacing between the PAX.

·        Repeat for a total of three laps.

Mosey to the hill directly behind the parking deck with each team carrying their coupon.  Team members passed off the coupons at each level of the deck.  At the bottom of the hill the PAX proceeded with the following.

·        Hill sprint carrying coupon at a 90* curl / LBCs and Flutter kicks while waiting for a coupon.

·        Hill sprint carrying coupon at shoulder level / High Low planks while waiting for a coupon.

·        Hill sprint carrying coupon overhead / WWII situps and scissor kicks while waiting for a coupon.

Mosey back to the top deck just as we came down, exchanging coupon at every level of the deck.  We finished the morning with the following.

·        25 military merkins

·        15 wide merkins

·        25 monkey humpers (Prompted Powder to have flashbacks of his clubbing days)

·        15 gorilla humpers (No acknowledged flashbacks from this exercise)

Announcements and Prayer Requests

·        Pray for Jordache’s daughter and her upcoming surgery.

WOD

Proverbs 12:25 – Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but a good word cheers it up.

Cheerfulness is not only a gift we give others, but also a gift we give ourselves.  Do not dwell in moments of anger and frustration, but rather turn your thoughts and prayers to Christ.  In doing so we can’t stay discouraged long.  After all, we worship a God that has promised us lives of abundance and joy for accepting his grace.  We owe it to him to go about our days the way he intended; with joy in our hearts and smiles on our faces.

MOLESKIN:  Who dealt it?  To quote Cousin Eddie part of being in the fart club is you have to admit when you do it.  Someone dropped a serious bomb in the stairwell this morning and I demand that they come forward and admit it.  You should be very proud!  It wasn’t enough that the stairwells were 150 degrees you had to add to it with something seriously rotten.  Please come forward for the love of all of humanity….please!

So it was still there Monday morning? I farted in the stairwell Sunday night. And it burned. #flamingcropdusting
