Twig is normally a reasonable sort of fellow who exercises sound judgment most of the time. But, not always. For some unexplainable reason he asked YHC to come and lead Granite’s Thursday morning workout. It’s called , not because everyone splashes merlot at these workouts but in honor of the BEST BASEBALL PITCHER ON THE PLANET!!! Anyway, it’s a perfectly good workout without YHC getting in there and messing things up. But Twig asked, YHC acquiesced, and this is how it went:

Several announcements were made. Family Fun Day is this Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church in Hickory. All PAX, their M’s, and 2.0s are invited. Cropduster is the Regional Q for this event. At last count over 50 have HC’d to be there. If you don’t come they’ll all be sayin’ about you on Saturday, “Where he at?”
The launch of F3 Mountain View is coming up on Nov. 5 at 7:00 am beside Trinity Ridge in Mountain View. Short Sale is the Launch Q. All Saturday workouts and AOs in the Hickory Region will be closed so we can all workout with the Mountain View FNGs and get them started off right. If you don’t post they’ll all be sayin’ about you on Nov. 5, “Where he at?”
YHC is off to Haiti on a mission trip October 20-27 that, post-Matthew, has turned into a disaster relief trip. If he gets cholera and doesn’t return they’ll all be sayin’ about him, “Where he at?”

The word of the day came from Philippians 2:5-11. The Ball of Men ended with a prayer.

No quit. There ain’t no quit in these Granite men. YHC threw everything he had at them and they took it all in stride. The workout came from Splinter, the nastiest Q in F3 Columbia. Splinter, who happens to be YHC’s middle son, recently led this workout at the Hammer A.O. in Columbia. Hammer strives to have one of the toughest workouts in town, but it wasn’t too tough for the men of Granite. So was YHC impressed? Yep. Very.

Good work this morning. We got tired but we got better. It was a privilege to lead this band of brothers today.
