11 men met to get stronger this morning and we gained 2 additional pax by the time our warm-up was completed. I know tomorrow is Veteran’s Day and have a huge amount of respect for all veterans so I wanted to do something a little different. Each exercise that we completed was for a count of 11 (In Cadence) to commemorate November 11th. Throughout the workout, I also read a little about the history of Veteran’s Day to make us all more aware of how this holiday began and became what it is today.

The workout went a little like this:

Imperial Storm Troopers
Alternating Toe Touches Mosey to Block pile

The Thang
Grab a block. Complete the exercise and then Sprint to other end and back
Front Squat and Press
Weighted Sit-up
Extended Arm Squat
Overhead Lunge Walk Run (with block) long way around to short wall

Tricep Dip
Step Up
Incline Merkin (without block)
Decline Merkin (without block)

Wall Sit with overhead claps (without block)

Merkin with hands on block
Peter Parker with hands on block
Parker Peter with hands on block
Dying Cockroach
Wall Sit with overhead press of block
Kettle Bell Swings
American Hammer
Block Burpees
Bent Over Rows
Clean and Press
Mosey Around Parking Lot and head to Brick Pile. Put Blocks up and Mosey back to Flag

Diamond Merkins
Box Cutters
Freddie Mercuries
Wide Armed Merkins

The extra weight that we carried around symbolized the extra weight Veteran’s carry every day. They gained this weight while protecting our freedoms. The least we can do is say thank you.

COT – Moment of Silence and then Prayer
Prayer Request: Cousin Eddie’s Mother-in-law is not doing well

Moleskin: Thank a Veteran, not just on Veteran’s Day but every day you see one.
